This stately colonial in Harford County had seen significant paint failure along the north-facing siding — a classic problem for homes with limited sun exposure and high humidity. The owners wanted the existing cream-and-green palette freshened, with an upgraded front door color to make a statement at the street.
After a full power wash and dry time, we hand-scraped all failing paint and spot-primed with a high-build masonry-grade primer on the problem sections. All window and door casings were back-caulked before painting to seal against water intrusion. The body received two coats of Sherwin-Williams Duration, and shutters and door were painted in a bold deep hunter green that gives the home excellent curb presence.
The homeowners sent us a photo the morning after completion — the morning sun hitting the fresh siding and trim was exactly the look they'd been hoping for. Fresh paint on a classic colonial like this doesn't just look good, it protects a significant financial investment.
"The crew was incredibly professional from start to finish. They caught rot on one windowsill we didn't even know about and fixed it before painting. That kind of attention to detail is rare. Five stars without question."
