When a Bel Air builder needed a reliable painting subcontractor for a 3,200-square-foot new construction, they called Primus Paint Co. New construction painting requires a different skill set than repaint work — surfaces must be assessed for moisture, drywall compound must be properly cured, and the work must stay synchronized with other trades.
We coordinated closely with the GC to sequence our work around flooring, cabinetry, and millwork installation. All ceilings received a premium flat white, walls were painted in the homeowner's selected builder-upgrade palette, and all doors, trim, and window casings were finished in a semi-gloss bright white. We ran two crews simultaneously to meet the close-of-escrow deadline.
The project completed two days ahead of schedule, allowing flooring installation to begin early and the homeowners to close without delays. The builder has since added Primus Paint Co to their preferred vendor list for future projects.
